I got to celebrate Valentine's Day with 20 of my favorite third graders this year! Our day was filled with lots of fun Valentine activities. While they were in Music, I "heart attacked" our class. I decorated our door with little hearts. Each heart had a child's name with a sweet comment about each of them! As soon as I finished decorating the door, I went to pick them up from Music. And when we got closer to our classroom door they were very surprised and excited to read what I had written about them. All day other students and teachers were walking by just as excited to read about how great my class is!
After lunch, we had our Valentine Exchange where the students went around the room dropping cards into each classmate's bag. I remember as a child, that was the best part about Valentine's Day! I loved going home and reading the notes my friends had written to me!
I also wanted to let y'all know that I have the most amazing husband ever! He is my SWEETHEART! At the end of the day, our class went outside for recess, and on our way back in I noticed something on my desk! The office had delivered a beautiful bouquet of flowers to my room that Adam had sent to the school! All of the kids were just as excited as me!
I have just a few more weeks until Adam comes home from Afghanistan! And when he gets here, we can finally celebrate! I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!
Always know that you are loved here!
