We have lived in North Carolina for a year and a half now, and since I've been here I've heard so much about The Biltmore Estate. So, I decided to look it up online the other day, and it looks absolutely amazing! It's only a few hours from our home, and definitely worth the visit! So, I've decided to plan a weekend trip out to Asheville for our anniversary this coming June! June third to be exact! I know it's a little early to start planning, but I couldn't control my excitement!
It looks so beautiful from the outside, I just can't imagine how impressive it will be as we take the tour through the Estate, and even stay at the "inn". As I was searching info. online, this is what I found...
The Biltmore House is a French Renaissance-inspired chateau near Asheville, North Carolina, built by George Washington Vanderbilt II between 1888 and 1895. It is the largest privately owned home in the United States at 175,000 square feet. Still owned by Vanderbilt's descendants, it stands today as one of the most prominent remaining examples of the Gilded Age.
We can't wait! Any ideas for a two year anniversary gift??
