We’re so grateful for all that the Lord has blessed us with, especially our family and friends! We just wanted to fill all of y'all in on a little piece of our new life together.
We are now settled just outside of
Ft. Bragg, NC.
Lauren is teaching hyper third graders at an elementary school just a mile down the road from our home. It has been a tremendously rewarding year thus far. She is very proud to have the chance to provide "her" kids with a positive influence.
Adam graduated from West Point in May of 2006. We are both so proud of him for keeping his commitment and finishing what he started at the Academy. It was a great six year journey that included his mission to Washington State and culminated with his oath of office being administered by both President George W. Bush and his older brother CPT Jason Hunt. Adam is both honored and humbled to belong to the “long gray line.” He says shaking the President’s hand was cool, but having his brother Jason swear him in with all of his family and many of his closest friends in attendance was one of the sweetest moments of his life. However, the sweetest and most sacred moment came just one week later on Saturday, June 3rd when we both knelt across from each other in the Dallas, Texas Temple and were sealed together for time and all eternity. We are so thankful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and for our testimonies that families can be together forever.
Adam is now trained to jump out of perfectly good airplanes with the 82nd Airborne Division. He is currently on his first tour of duty overseas in Afghanistan. Although the sacrifices are great, we are very proud to be serving our country.
Our life together has been quite an adventure with new surprises around every corner. It seems that each new experience brings us closer together and gives us an even greater love and appreciation for our family and friends.
